Martial Law?

It seems we have been put under martial law. We are locked in our houses and fear coming out for fear of being shot on sight. If we do come out, only one can come, and only in a disguise of a very old person, covered up with a scarf and carrying a cane.

I am in one of these house with four or five of my friends. I do nt see any of my close family members just these friends, so I am saying they must represent somethings that I need to take care of. As I began to look at this dream I began to question the appearance of these folks in my dream and their symbolism.

Back to the dream. We have just been ruthlessly fired upon by the Military Police. WE cower on the floor covering our heads and praying that no one is shot, for there is no escape and only the first aide we can offer among ourselves. After the barrage of bullets the tanker drives pass and we stand up and look around to see what the damage was. This is done on a daily basis, I do not think they actually want to kill us, but want to scare us, terrorize us, so that we do not come out into the streets or interfere with their operations. For surely, after firing upon our house they move on and continue the same operations.

I have determined that if we keep the windows closed and the lights off, maybe after a while they would think that we were all dead and stop shooting at our house.

Later in the dream I notice that my friend is pregnant. She had tried to hide it, maybe because she was almost sixty. She explains that she and her male companion were having a session, it had stopped for a moment and then started again and was a real "ball buster." She knew that something had happened! I give her a big hug. The phone rings, she answers it. My other female friend whom I had a relationship with some time ago, seemed to feel slighted that I allowed her to answer my phone, to which I explain that we had been friends for 40 years.. of course she could answer my phone.

Another female friend wanted to go get something to eat from the Cafeteria that was set up for us some distance away. I caution her that we need to put her in a disguise, non threatening so that she would not be shot on her way there. She resisted this request, but soon realized that it would be better to get the food unabated then end up dead on her journey. She has a hard time with restrictions and did not wish to follow this guidance, at all. I go with her, we get some food, beans, and salad. It seems that all they are prepared to give us is the bare essentials. The server appeared to be a female from the African continent.

During this dream, I am constantly turning off the lights and closing the windows. There are complaints about this safety maneuver, but over time it is acceptable. Some complain they cannot see. My response is that we see during the day light hours, no need to attract the eyes of the Militia who are having their way with shooting bullet holes into our house.

It seems that for the management of such a situation, should it occur, we need to gather together and work together to be safe in this type of situation. My friends who appear in this dream are symbols to me of the major issues we need to address in such a situation, on a mental level, spiritual level and physical level.

1. My old friends represents to me, the need to be supportive of friends and not judge them for what has happened in their lives. Live and let live and support whenever possible.

2. My old intimate friendships need to be put on notice that things have changed and there are other events going on that cloud the previous perspective of our interactions, in fact, they overshadow what once was and the new paradigm needs to be considered with an open heart and open spirit.

3. My friend who is deeply involved in the physical healing of the body, must be willing to make adjustments in difficult times and align with the present situation, that may appear out of our control, we can do what needs to be done to remain alive, while it may not be what we want to do. Our situation has changed, our freedoms have been co-opted; we are no longer able to do what we used to do, come and go as we used to do. We must adapt to the new situation and seek out alternatives for adjusting.

4. This person is vague in this dream but I get the impression that it is that part that wants to complain about the situation, heeding no warning and endangering the lives of everyone present. We need to heed the warnings, and create a plan that will not necessarily give us the creature comforts, but will provide for us another opportunity to decrease our activities, safeguard our lives and possibly diminish the consequences of being a target.

5. The Militia are hired hands who have a job to do, they have even less control over their lives than all of the others involved in that they must obey orders, SHOOT TO KILL. In that sense compassion rather than altercation will decrease the amount of danger all parties concerned are in.
